We’ve been doing so many incredible things in the classroom this year. Students have been working so hard on all of our math and science concepts. We’ve done some great projects and we’ve gotten to work with some great classes from around the world. We’ve been able to share a lot of what we do through our blog. However, we wanted to be able to show you in other ways as well.
We now have our own class Instagram. Students are able to take pictures using one of our tablets in class and it will automatically be shared with you if you are following our account or if you find our Instagram slideshow on the right sidebar of this blog. You can follow us by clicking here or by searching for our account, mraverystudents, in the Instagram app.
We’ll continue to add pictures to our account throughout the year so you’ll be able to see us during all different types of activities. So give us a follow and check out what we’re working on! Or, you can also check out our slideshow below which will update with our pictures as we add them on to Instagram.
Also, don’t forget to check out the interactive 360° panorama of our classroom! You can take a spin around our room by clicking here.
If you like taking or viewing pictures, we’d also like to recommend Mrs. Yollis’ 365 project. Last year either Mrs. Yollis or her students posted one picture and information about it every day for the entire year! They’re continuing the project again this year but are now accepting pictures from people around the world to add to their 365 project for 2013. If you’re interested in adding a picture, you can find more information here.

Dear Mr. Avery,
I had no idea that we had a class Instagram. I should check your blog more often. You are a great teacher and you are a lot of fun with your technological ways to teach.
Sincerely,
Nick K.
Dear Mr. Avery,
I wish I had an ipod/iphone. My cousin has an Instagram so matbe she could follow us on it. I hope we get a lot of views! I don’t really know what else to say except wish us good luck 🙂

Dear Mr. Avery,
Great idea for getting a class Instagram. Are they an easy process because I might as well get one if not. I also agree with Tristan with the pictures. I also think you should take pictures of our projects. Such as the world fair project and the genius project you were talking to us about this afternoon.

Dear Mr. Avery
I think you should take a picture of all of us doing on of our minutes to show all our hard work
Sincerely,
Jen C
It is unbelievable which you did. I am curious to know more about your classrooms as fun activities, study, and also about the students. I hope to see updates soon.
Dear Mr. Avery,
I can’t believe that you have made a class “Instagram.” I already followed it. Is it just for your homeroom class or is it for both classrooms? Just curious. Are the photos taken for when we do fun activities or when we are just doing a normal everyday school day?
Sincerely,
Tristan 🙂
Hi Tristan,
Hope you’re having a great weekend so far. The Instagram account will be for both classes. It’ll just be a 6th grade Instagram account. We’ll take pictures of all sorts of things through the year. We can take pictures of us just working in class. We could take pictures of special events. I’m sure there will be pictures of things like D.A.R.E graduation. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I think you should take some pictures of us while using the chrome books. Also you could take pictures of the both classrooms while recording the D.A.R.E. videos, and while each class are trying to sink all the battleships in “Homework Battleship.” Even when we are working on open responses and some people who received “4”‘s on them. Finally, some of students who were rewarded a student blog learning how to know how to use it.
Sinecerly,
Tristan 🙂
