Every year, right before our winter vacation, the entire school gets together for a holiday sing-a-long. Our wonderful music teacher, Mrs. Cardinal led us through many different holiday carols. Santa even showed up to lend a helping hand!
I look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday! Happy New Year!
*What is your favorite holiday song?*
*What are your goals for the new year?*
*What do you hope to learn this year?*
Dear Mr. Avery,
It’s June and that was December. 🙁 The year has gone by so fast . I can’t remember all of the great things we did. It’s so sad. ;(

Ariel
Dear Mr. Avery,
My favorite part about the sing-a-long is when we sung Santa Clause is Coming to Town and then Santa came out. He danced around and shook hands with all of the kids. That was my favorite part about the sing-a-long.
Sincerely,
Natalie
Dear Mr Avery,
I love to sing in the school sing along. My favorite Christmas song is Jingle Bells. I like that song because I like the sound of ringing bells in the winter. I like science and animals. My New Year’s resolution is to learn more about math and three digit multiplication.
From,
Rebecca A.
Dear Mr. Avery,
For the holiday sing-a-long I really liked “Chanukah o Chanukah.” I liked how it went high and low and how smooth it is.
Sincerely,
Colin
Dear Mr. Avery,
My news year resolution is to make sure I always feed my fish! I always forget to feed them. There is one fish who is 4 years old and I want him to make it 5. It is amazing, right? I mean a a fish in a fish tank is only supposed to live to 3 years.
Sincerely,
Marshall
Dear Mr. Avery,
My goal for this year is to get Citizen of the month. I also want to learn more in science. I am really looking forward to learning about electricity. Last year we made a light bulb light up with a battery, and a wire. It was awesome! My group made the light bulb light up first. I got a certificate that said Science Master. See you later!

Dear Mr.Avery,
I had the best vacation ever. For Christmas I got Madden 11, FIFA 11, Copouk and many more. Sunday I got 50 dollars from my grandparents!
Sincerely,
Heston
Dear Mr.Avery,
I think I had one sugar cookie frosted with green frosting. It might be a Christmas tree. I do not really know but it was delicious! The other was gross! It was like a snowman. It was a mystery cookie. It could of had anything in it! Anyways, thanks for asking. I love answering questions!
Sincerely,
Ashley
Dear Mr. Avery,
My favorite Christmas song is “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”. It is on the CD that I gave you. I hope that you enjoyed it.

Dear Mr. Avery,
I really like the holiday sing-a-long. I like to sing Christmas songs. My favorite Christmas song is “Let It Snow.” I like that song because in the winter it snows. I hope to learn more in social studies on Washington D.C. I also hope to learn more in science. I would like to learn more on plants and animals. I like multiplucation so I would want to learn more on 2 digit by 3 digit multiplucation.

Jenna
Dear Mr. Avery,
My favorite christmas song is a “Chanukah” song by Adam Sandler. What is yours?

@Jackie – That’s a really funny song! I love all of the holiday music. It’s really hard to choose just one. I thought everyone did a great job at the sing-a-long!
Dear Mr. Avery,
I loved the sing along! I can not believe Santa came! I loved singing ‘Chanukah Oh Chanukah’! Plus I loved singing “Santa Clause is Coming to Town!” I had an amazing vacation also. I love winter!

@Ashley – I thought the entire fourth grade did an amazing job singing that song! Everyone was participating and it sounded great. Winter is a wonderful season. I couldn’t agree with you more!
Dear Mr. Avery,
I don’t really have a favorite Christmas song. I love all of them. I’ll see you tomorrow!
From ,
Kaylee
@Kaylee – It is really hard to choose just one. I enjoy all of them as well. Did you have a nice vacation?
Dear Mr. Avery,
I do not have a favorite Christmas song. I like them all. I would like to know yours. I loved the sing along! I also caroled at girl scouts. I got hot chocolate. I had two cookies. One was delicious and the other was gross.
Sincerely,
Ashley
@Ashley – I love them all too Ashley. My favorite is Frosty the Snowman though. It’s such a classic! What were the two types of cookies you had? Which one did you like and which one didn’t you like?
Dear Mr. Avery,
I thought the Winter Sing-A-Long was wonderful. Everyone is a great singer. My favorite song is Jingle Bell Rock. What is yours?
Sincerely,
Ben W.
@Ben – There are so many different songs to choose from! Jingle Bell Rock is a great choice. I like that one a lot. I think my all time favorite would have to be Frosty the Snowman though. I think that’s a great song that everyone knows.
Dear Mr. Avery,
My favorite Christmas song is “All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey. My goal is to learn more math and angles and so far my goal is going great. I hope to learn more about math and geography. Those are my favorite subjects. See you tomorrow!
From,
Ariel
@Natalie – That’s a great choice for a favorite song! Everyone knew that really well at the sing-a-long.
Those sound like some great goals. I know if you keep working as hard as you always do, you’ll definitely achieve them!
@Ariel – That’s also a great song. I heard that one the radio many times this year. I’m so glad you’re excited about learning! We’ll be learning a lot more about angles so you’re in luck! Nice to have you back in school!
Dear Mr. Avery,
My favorite holiday song was ”Santa Clause is Coming to Town.” Some of my goals are to get into Leap and to work harder to try to get a lot of fours. I hope to learn how to do division faster like I did with multiplication.
Sincerely,
Natalie
