We hit a huge milestone today. We had our 100,000th visitor! It’s amazing to see how many people have visited our blog in the couple years since we started up. We’re so grateful that other classes and educators around the world find our blog to be a place that want to visit and continue coming back to!
The greatest part about hitting this benchmark is seeing our growth just within the last six months. As you can see in the picture above, almost 40% of our visitors have come in about the last 7 months. That means we’re getting close to having the same amount of visitors in that 7 month period as we had in the two years before that!
Because of this milestone, we also decided to reflect on some other marks that we’ve currently hit. Our most popular video that has we’ve created, our Elapsed Time Number-Line video has been viewed close to 20,000 times between Vimeo and YouTube! Our Avery Bunch fraction video has close to 10,000 views. The BFG movie trailer is now over 5,500 views! It’s been amazing to see these numbers grow over time and to see how some of our videos are being used in other classrooms to help teach different concepts.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the two and half years that we’ve been around. We’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many amazing classes around the world, participate in some amazing global projects, and meet some of the nicest people. We can’t wait to see what the next hundred thousand visitors share with us on the blog in the future!
Dear Mr, Avery,
Congratulations! You deserve all of those 100,000 visitors because of how hard you work on your blog! All your posts are amazing, but I really like when you do posts about the students projects because it is really inspiring. But my favorite posts you do are the ones with the amazing videos that you make such as the Avery Bunch, Math Movie Network, and the BFG. I know we didn’t get to do many videos last year because we were so busy with boring things like building mini golf coarses, having genius hour and don’t even get me started on all those dreadful field trips you took us on!:) How has your summer been so far? Mine has been awaesome, regardless to the very sad last day of school. Anyway, have a Happy Summer!
Sincerely,
Emily B.
Dear Emily,
So great to hear from you! I hope you’re having a wonderful summer and preparing yourself for middle school!
It was definitely pretty incredible to reach that 100,000 visitor mark! I hope it takes even less time to hit the next 100,000! I’m hoping we can start getting that many every single year!
I’m sorry you didn’t get to do anything fun in sixth grade last year. I made sure to save all of the fun stuff until after you left though so this year’s group will get plenty of it! 🙂
Have a wonderful rest of the summer and make sure to keep in touch next year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Congratulations on your accomplishment, Mr. Avery! Your blog has always been an inspiration to my students. We love to see all the ways you collaborate with other classes from all over the world. Our favorite post is probably the original Avery Bunch video, but they’re all great. My class gets excited every time you post a new video, because we know it will be amazingly creative! Thank you for everything you do.
Regards,

Hello Avery Bunch,
100,000 is an amazing number of visitors. It shows what can happen when regular, interesting posts posts are made. The power of blogging opens up your learning to the world.
Favourite post so far and future posts? That would be a hard choice. I drop in when I can and enjoy what I see but I must say your recent mini-golf post shared an idea many schools around the world could try. In my opinion, it’s these experiences others can try that would appeal to most.
Enjoy your vacation. 🙂
