We’ve always wanted to share a day in our classroom with you. We thought maybe it’d be great to invite people in but not too many people can take a day off to visit our classroom, not to mention, many of you live thousands of miles away! We thought maybe we’d videotape our day and post it but we couldn’t think of too many people who had a spare seven hours to watch what happens in our classroom! There had to be another way.

We tried to figure out how we could take a seven hour day and narrow it down to a minute or less. Then, we determined, we should do a time-lapse video! We placed our document camera in the corner of the room and set it to take a picture every minute from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. That’s a total of 405 pictures! In the end, it put together a video for us. We added a little bit of music to it and now we’re able to share our entire day with you!

We hope you enjoyed being in our class for a little while! We’re glad you were able to join us!

*What did you think about seeing our day in 55 seconds?*

*What else might you use a time-lapse video for?*
