As we get closer to nearing the one year anniversary of Mr. Avery’s Classroom Blog, we’ve reached a major milestone. Today we hit 10,000 visitors!
We’ve made some great connections during the course of our blogging experiences. We’ve had the opportunity to talk to people from every continent, including Antarctica! As you can see on the map below, the majority of our visitors have been from North America, although we’ve also had a lot from Europe and Australia.
Thank you to everyone who has made this achievement possible! We’ve greatly appreciated all of your comments, the conversation, and collaborations. As we gear up to start a new school year on Wednesday, we look forward to sharing our blog with you as we strive for another 10,000 visitors!
*What continent do you think we’ve had the most visitors from besides North America?*
*What is your favorite memory of our blog so far?*
Dear Mr.Avery,
Congratulations on having 10,000 visiters ! That is really
cool. I am not sure how many visitors we have had at the
moment.
Sincerely,
Lexi

Dear Molly,
I too believe this is going to be a going to be a fun year. Thanks for writing on the blog! š
From,

Dear Mr. Avery,
CONGRATULATIONS on 10 000 visitors..and in less than a year. WOW, what a fantastic job! You have a wonderful blog and I always look forward to reading/viewing your posts.
I have to agree with Mrs. Yollis, and say that my favorite post from last year has to be “The Brady/Avery Bunch” video. My 4th grade class loved watching it and we ended up signing the song for days afterwards. hahaha.
The Classroom Connection heads back to school for our first day Sept. 6th. I am very excited to start blogging with a new group of students. Hopefully we will get a chance to collaborate with you and your class on a project together this year. Maybe we could set up a Quad Blog once my students get the hang of blogging and learn about leaving good quality comments…the possibilities are endless!
Your Blogging Buddy,
Mrs. Webb-Scheers
Dear Mrs.Webb-Scheers,
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting on our blog. I’m sure your blog is doing great too! I think blogging with your class will be a great idea, but you’ll have to talk to Mr. Avery on that one.The rest of my classmates also enjoyed “The Avery Bunch” too! Hope you have a great first day with the students!
Sincerely,
Taite B.
Dear Mr. Avery and Class,
Congratulations on your wonderful milestone achievement! 10,000 visitors is awesome!
We noticed that your visitor count today has gone up to 10,348! We have been learning about forms of numbers and would like to demonstrate what we’ve learned!
10,348 is standard form
Word form is ten thousand, three hundred forty-eight.
10,000 + 300 + 40 + 8 is expanded form!
We thought it was very interesting to read in the comment section that Australia actually had more visitors than Europe and was in 2nd place behind North America!
Mrs. Ranney’s best memory of blogging with your class last year is the Quad Blogging project and Skyping with your students!
We hope to Skype this year too!
Warmly,
Mrs. Ranney and her new Third Grade Class
Dear Mrs. Ranney and class,
I think using ClustrMaps to work with numbers is such an amazing idea! I’m so glad to see you working on different forms of place value! We worked on that a lot last year when I was teaching fourth grade!
We had so much fun Skyping and quad-blogging with you last year. We definitely hope to Skype with you again this year!
I hope you have a great year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr Avery and Class,

@ Mr Avery and your new class,
My name is Amelie. I’m from 2KM. My teacher is Mrs Morris in Australia(Victoria.)
It’s amazing that you’ve got ten thousand visits in a short time!
Are your students learning well how to blog on other peoples amazing blogs?
I hope they are learning.
On the 2KM and 2KJ Blog we have over 15,000 visits!
Your special blogging pal,
Amelie
Dear Amelie,
Your class blog is amazing! That’s why you have over 15,000 visits! I know I probably make up quite a few of those because I visit all the time!
Today was our first day of school so we’ll start learning about commenting on other people’s blogs soon. I’m sure they’ll be visiting your blog and commenting on there!
I look forward to talking to you again soon.
Your friend,
Mr. Avery
And I would agree with Mrs. Yollis. Europe is in 2nd place.
Dear Clarissa,
Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on our blog. It is so great having people from other countries and right here in the United States writing to us in our blog and every comment is accepted and welcomed. We thank you so much for your comment and we hope that you write to us again.

Mr. Avery,
This week my teacher is going to teach us how to comment on other teachers blog. I’m a big fan. Someday I’ll have my own blog, maybe this year.
Sincerally,

Congratulations on your 10,000th visitor! We just started our own class blog a few weeks ago and we have been looking at yours as a model for the kind of blog we’d like to have. We love your videos! Thank you for sharing your learning with us.

Hello Mr.Avery,
I hope the start to your new school year has been fun! Your new room looks great and the green screen is a fantastic idea! 10,000 visitors is an outstanding feat and that reflects just how cool your Blog is. We started our Blog at the end of June and have a long way to go, but we are learning heaps. I have a year 1 class in Adelaide South Australia and we love ‘travelling around the world’ looking at other classes. We would love to continue visting your Blog and chatting with you.
From Mrs Kolenberg and Room 4
http://mrsksclass.edublogs.org
Hi Mrs. Kolenberg and Room 4,
We’re so glad you decided to start up a class blog! We love discovering new blogs and connecting with new classes! We would certainly love to have you visit us this year and we look forward to visiting you!
We appreciate all of your kind words about our blog. We started us up in December of last year and it’s been an absolutely amazing experience! We’ve met so many great people and classes and have learned so much from others. You will definitely love having one.
We look forward to learning with you!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
I’m not at all surprised that the blog has had so many visitors in such a short amount of time. I remember when it first started last year. I knew it was going to be one of my favorite class blogs because of all the fantastic posts and especially the great green-screen videos.
I predict that you will triple this amount and reach 30,000 by this time next year. I know my students and I will account for hundreds of visits in the new school year.
I look forward to another great year of learning together.
From,
Mr. Salsich
Dear Mr. Salsich,
We’re so glad we were able to connect with your class last year! The kite project was one of our favorites! It’s because of these great connections that we were able to hit that 10,000 visitor mark!
We certainly hope to be able to hit 30,000 visitors! We just look forward to being able to have another great year and share that with everyone through our blog!
We are excited to follow your class on their journey through another year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
P.S. I hope the hurricane is treating you okay down there!
Dear Mr. Avery and the new crew,
Congratulations! 10,000 is incredible! My favorite memories of your blog are the Avery Realty videos. My students loved them and they inspired us to create math movies, too.
Good luck in your new year!
Mrs. Kistler
a 49’er
Dear Mrs. Kistler,
Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad we’ve inspired you to make math videos! We’ve found it to be such a fun way to both learn and show what we’ve learned. I hope to create many more this year and look forward to watching all of yours!
We’re so glad that you’re back in school so we can follow your blog with a new class!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr. Avery,
10,000 Congratulations!
It looks like Europe is in second place as far as visitors. I like to look at the North America map and see all the dots. It appears that a lot of your visitors are from the eastern side of the United States.
One of my favorite memories is The Brady Bunch/Avery Bunch video. As a fan of the Brady Bunch, that one really took me back and put a smile on my face! š
Your friend,
Mrs. Y♥llis
California
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
Thanks for your comment! Believe it or not, although it looks like Europe has the second most visits, it’s actually Australia! Our visitors from Australia are just condensed into fewer locations. All of our visitors have been great though!
We’ve loved making all of our videos but that video was definitely one of our favorites! It was great to see it all come together after having to film all of the individual parts.
We look forward to another year of learning and sharing with you!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
Dear Mr Avery,
Congratulations! What a big milestone you have achieved in such a short amount of time.
My favourite memory of your blog so far is when you made the interviews with historic people. 2KM and 2KJ loved these videos. We learnt a lot and also had a laugh at the bloopers!
I wonder how many visitors you will have in another 12 months!
Your friend,
Mrs M☀rris
Dear Mrs. Morris,
Thanks for your comment! We’re so excited to have reached this milestone. Our blog has definitely come a long way in a short time!
We loved making the biography videos. It’s interesting because some of those people who are considered to be famous by us you may never have heard of before. I’m sure it’s the same for you, having some famous people in Australia who we’ve never heard of!
Thanks for all your support over the last year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
@ Mr Avery,
Congradulations on reaching over 10,000 visitors.
I think that you may have had a lot of visitors from Eurpoe but I know you have a lot of fans in Australia.
Your blogging pal,
Jarrād (2KM)
Hi Jarrod,
It’s great that you’re visiting our blog! I love visiting yours!
We have definitely had a lot of visitors from Europe. Believe it or not though, the continent that we have the second most visits from is Australia! It’s thanks to all of you that we were able to reach 10,000!
Keep up all your great work!
Your friend,
Mr. Avery
What an achievement!! Well done everyone!
@ Miss H
Thank you for the kind words! We’re certainly very excited. We look forward to another 10,000!
Dear Mr Avery and your new class,
Congratulations on reaching 10,000 visitors to your excellent blog!
I know we have enjoyed visiting your blog and we look forward to reading about the learning of your 6th grade students.
Roll on 20,000 visitors š
From,
Mrs McKenzie
Dear Mrs. McKenzie,
We’re certainly hoping to roll on to 20,000 visitors! That’ll mean that we’ve put out content that others enjoy reading about and that we’ll have met even more great people!
We always enjoy visiting your blog and are looking forward to for another year!
Thanks for all your support!
Sincerely,
Mr. Avery
